WYAA is proud to once again offer Wyoming afterschool providers and practitioners the opportunity to gather together to share ideas, best practices
and strategies on how to implement and expand quality programming in their communities.
This conference is designed for school-based, school-linked 21st Century Community Learning Centers, Boys and Girls Clubs, 4-H Clubs, Parks and Recreation Centers and Childcare Providers. Our goal is to provide professional development, technical assistance and networking opportunities for afterschool program providers and staff, coordinators and directors, school administrators, early childcare providers, youth development professionals, partners and key stakeholders from all across the state as well as the opportunity to learn new skills and hear about the latest research available that impacts this profession.

Exhibitor Application
Do you have a product or service that would benefit afterschool programs? WYAA offers exhibitor ates for Businesses, Nonprofits and Presenters. Along with a 2.5' x 8' covered table, exhibitor fees include company listing and website link in the conference guide. Fee also includes participant registration, including meals for one person. "My Principal Matters" Award
The Wyoming Afterschool Alliance takes pride in sponsoring its 2nd Annual "My Principal Matters" Award to be presented to a Wyoming principal who has demonstrated their commitment to afterschool and is a champion in their school district and community.
We are asking all school-based and community-based afterschool program providers, directors, teachers, tutors and others involved in afterschool programs to consider nominating their principal. If choses, he or she will be introduced and honored at the upcoming 3rd Annual WYAA State Conference on Afterschool Programs in Laramie, WY during our Dinner Events on Monday, October 17, 2011 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. In addition your afterschool program will receive materials or curriculum as our way of saying "Thank you!" and "Keep doing great work for kids, families and your communities!"
We believe that our principals are critical partners in helping us provide high-quality afterschool programs. It is with their committed support and leadership that makes the difference in programs, and assures successful implementation of expanded learning opportunities for our children. Together, we can support our mutual interests in assisting children to achieve success.

Our Hero of Afterschool Award
The Wyoming Afterschool Alliance is proud to announce the 1st Annual Hero of Afterschool Award. This award will be presented to an individual who demonstrates a strong commitment to afterschool in their community. These individuals can include (but are not limited to) parents, grandparents, teachers, civic organization leaders, volunteers, city and county officials, state legislators, advisory council members, sheriffs and police chiefs, or members of the business/industry community.
It is through the support and leadership from these individuals that helps to ensure that afterschool programs provide services of the highest quality to the student and youth in our communities.
